A 25-year veteran of the corporate world, Alida Merrill brings a
rich mix of executive experience and academic wisdom to her
consulting clients. After graduating from RIT with a BS in Business
Administration, she worked for the Bank of Boston as a commercial
loan officer. Her next move was into health care, and she added a
BSN from the University of Rochester as well as a Masters in Public
Health from Johns Hopkins University to her resume. This led to a
series of increasingly more responsible executive positions in
health care management for Caremark, the Monroe County Health
Department, and the Monroe Plan for Medical Care.
By 2006, when Alida shifted into consulting and coaching work, she had initiated and implemented a variety of
transformational projects in the organizations for which she worked,
including strategic planning processes, revamped human resources
systems and processes, and the integration of strategic plans with
performance evaluation systems.
While working on her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Alida
realized that the research-based family therapy techniques that she
was learning were ideally suited for working with individuals and
teams within organizations and facilitating lasting change. Today,
her many hours of clinical practice inform her approach to coaching
individuals and teams in the business world. Alida’s integration of
her business experience with her psychotherapy training and practice
provide a uniquely effective solution for leaders who are working
towards a healthier, more productive organization.
Alida leads DRI Consulting's practice in the North Eastern part
of the United States and is a Senior Consultant to client
organizations.
