Tori Littlefield is a consultant for DRI Consulting who brings
over 25 years
of experience in the field of psychology and over 15 years of practice in professional development.
Tori has expertise in providing professional development and
program design, implementation, and assessment services to both
individuals and organizations. Her strong background in research
design and analysis assures systematic and thorough development and
evaluation of both ongoing and new programs. Areas of experience
include:
- leadership development;
- facilitation of individual career development for apprentice,
novice, mid-career, and senior professionals;
- program planning and implementation;
- formative assessment and summative evaluation;
- visioning, goal setting and objectives development for new and
mature programs;
- leadership and management of individual and organizational
change; and
- strategic thinking, planning, and execution.
Tori has consulted widely in the Twin Cities, the Midwest, and on the East and West Coasts. She has provided services to individuals, organizations, professionals, societies, small towns in greater Minnesota, and to higher education, and edited two regional publications focused on professional development. She served in the Consultant-Evaluator Corps for the North Central Association which accredits over 900 colleges and universities in the Midwest.
Her research activity includes professional publications and
presentations on
- career development of mid- and senior-level
professionals;
- the effects of earlier experience on adult behavior and
preference;
- differential perceptions of adults roles as influenced by
gender;
- the effects of practice and experience on career choice and
ability;
- initiation of junior practitioners into professional roles;
- the development and use of computer simulations;
- the application of continuous quality improvement to
organization change and evaluation efforts;
- methods of developing valid and useful surveys;
- factors that enhance productive discussion in working groups;
and
- consideration of content and process in programs for
novices.
Tori received MA and Ph.D. degrees in Experimental Psychology from Miami University in Ohio.
More recently, she completed post-doctoral work in Counseling at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a member of the American Psychological Society,
the Society of Consulting Psychologists, the Professional and Organizational Development Network
and the Boulder Center for Science and Policy. In the past
two years, Tori has been awarded
over $2 million in foundation and government contracts to
support programs in individual and organizational development.
Tori is a licensed psychologist in the state of Minnesota.
