Description
of how consulting related experience was gained |
My
practice of leadership team development, executive coaching, career
coaching, and organizational diagnosis has evolved over 25 years through
the opportunity to provide services and the supervised experiences. The
latter is noted below. Since 1979 I have been providing consultation and
training to individuals and organizations regarding careers. In 1983, I
consulted to the industrial/organizational department of AT&T in
conducting management research under the supervision of Manuel London,
Ph.D., I/O psychologist. Subsequently I conducted instructional design,
development and delivery also at AT&T, career consultation with the
supervision of Cary Cherniss, Ph.D., community psychologist, and
organizational redesign and sociotechnical team development at Bell
Laboratories with the additional supervision of Clay Alderfer, Ph.D.,
organizational psychologist. In the course of securing licensure, I
provided executive coaching, organizational diagnosis and development,
leadership team development, and career coaching with the supervision of
Clay Alderfer and Dorothy Cantor, Psy.D., clinical psychologist. I also
belonged to a supervision group for 3 years, supervised by Dr. Joan
Glass Morgan, on psychodynamics and countertransference in case
management. My work continues in organizations of various forms,
non-profit, government, and for-profit organizations. Regularly, my
organizations provides pro-bono services to organizations serving the
public good. |
